Hey Ted, I was cruising Facebook, then Rapala things (because I ALWAYS end up on a fishing thing somewhere), and then I hit a link to here! Hey Casey10, always happy to be 'representin' the maple leaf...

Hey Ted, I was cruising Facebook, then Rapala things (because I ALWAYS end up on a fishing thing somewhere), and then I hit a link to here! Hey Casey10, always happy to be 'representin' the maple leaf... Cool! ;D There's like 4 or 5 Rapala 'groups' on there...but nobody posts or does anything...I mean, whats the point? I guess my link I posted on the 'wall' is still there.. If you have any questions or need help, let me know. There is quite a bit to wade through on here...no doubt sooner or later you'll stumble across some Rapalas that will make your jaw drop

Excellent! I look forward to finding all kinds of whizzy stuff that I had no idea existed. Speaking of which, I noticed Rap came out with a new lighter coloured perch floater which actually looks a lot closer to the perch we have out here than the darker ones we used to hook out East...hey, didn't you have one in your canoe picture the day nothing worked? Anyhew, one of these days when we get to the city we'll pick one up and try it on the trout out here...the big rainbows love chowing down on perch minnows. P.S...black bears are still something to be respected and very afraid of. I still wouldn't go slap one across the face..little or not!

In keeping the thread alive I just want to say;
GOOD DAY! My name is Steve Cizek, 51 years old, avid fisherman for 50 years. I have three grown kids and my charming wife Peggy has three grown kids. You will eventually get to know Peggy as iowafarmgirl on this site. We live in northwest Iowa and enjoy fishing on the Iowa Great Lakes chain. We became avid muskie anglers last year with the hopes of maybe catching one someday. We are also the Ebay sellers Bait Fishin Tackle. Together we enjoy almost everything the outdoors offers including hunting, fishing, and edible wild plants( Peg is an expert on vegetation) I have been a lurker on this site off and on for years. Always loved the Rapala and the #13 silver husky is my favorite lure. We have a collection of antique lures but fish with Rapalas because they catch fish. You would probably keel over if you saw the discontinued Rapalas we fish with. Thanks for the awesome site and so nice to see a site owner with such a passion to make it better.

The Cizeks are good people, and 'iowafarmgirl' is the very first female (that I'm aware of) that's ever posted....so if you see her online, don't be cussin' up a storm. Didn't know you 'lurked' on here for so long...we need to bring more of you lurkers out of the woodwork! Thanks for the kind words, it makes it all worthwile. Btw you folks have some Berkleys Realistix I've got my eye on...

So let's get this straight - you're a 24 year old Italian female who loves fishing....will you marry me? Just kidding...hey it couldn't hurt! But my wife might take issue with that...

Hi, managed to stumble upon this nice board via fishooked's post @ fishingkaki, was very impressed by the posts and decided to register and hopefully share my catches and reports with the crew!
Name's Joseph, age 26, somewhat a late bloomer, only got into fishing a year back and haven't looked back since! I come from the sunny island of Singapore where fresh water luring is illegal in 80% of the places!
I normally do offshore boat fishing but do enjoy luring on light tackle as well at canals or rivers nearby, hope to learn more from the professionals here!

Its about time I got some folks from fishingkaki.com to come by and join this board! You folks are just as fanatical as Rapalas as we are! Too bad Fred hasn't come by and registered yet. I don't know how or why, but there must have been at least 10 people that have signed up within the last few days! At this rate we'll hit 500 sometime in September! ;D Again, welcome - and tell all your friends!

Hello all, My name is Thomas. I like to fish just like all of you folks. Mostly I fish for bass. I go for both large and small mouth bass. I also like to fish for trout. I live pretty much on a lake in Western Mass with my wife and two children. The lake is great. Lots of bass (no trout).
I love to play ice hockey which I do at least two times a week all year long. My family is my first passion and hockey is a distant second.
For full disclosure, I run an on-line tackle shop called Jax Cat Tackle. I won't bring it up again on this board. Most people do not want to have boards taken over with countless posts of self promotion. If you have a question about my shop. You can visit it and e-mail me.
My favorite baits: I know you all love Rapalas and I do too. However, I like to use a lot of soft plastics. I love jigs that mimic crawfish. Killers on bass! We get em all the time just outside weed beds with these. I like heavily salted plastic worms too. They work great. If I had to choose my favorite Rapala Lure: That's tough. I like top water so the Skitter Pop is right up there. I haven't actually used one yet, but the Clackin' Rap is just a cool looking lure and it sounds really good too. Maybe I will try one when the 06 size comes out. I also like the DTMSS20. My lake is too shallow for these, but when I go to a lake that has 60' drop offs these are killers on anything that eats. Of course there are all the old Rapalas too, like the count downs and Original Floaters.
Have a great weekend!

Feel free to promote all you wish; we don't mind the advertising as long as it's fishing related. And i agree on the CNR06 - the smaller size was definitely a good move by them.

Hey guys, I live in a Denver suburb and write articles for the DenverFishingExaminer.com site. Most of all, I just like to fish and I am trying to check out as many different lakes and streams out here as I can. I am married with 3 kids, going back to school for my Bachelors of Art. Attached is a picture...this is what happens when artists become fishermen....or is it when fishermen become artists? Luckily, I am a lure guy most of the time or I'd be sittin in a kayak reading my World civ text or something...Nice to meet you guys, nice forum full of good info! I'm way to scary to post a pic of myself...and wouldnt want anyone to use it as proof that Yettis exist. Attachments:

Hello! My name is Cade, I'm Zeroroasters kid. I live with my parents in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, one of the very few places to get some good rainbow trout. I currently own a big box of fishing tackle and 2 fishing rods (one of them telescopes and it's my favorite!) When I'm not fishing I am either on here, going to school, playing video games, and trying to keep my dad in line! Cade P.S let me know when my dads being a pain and I will give him a boot in the rear (he's only 20 ft away!)
