Hi guys, I really love what qbert is doing on the Rapala bet so I started to collect all the photo’s of this year and started changing lures after each catch. So this is what I’ve came up with, I am now sorry that I did not took pictures of the rest of the 80 pikes I caught already. And since my inline spinners obvious are not Rapala those pictures doesn’t count. I’ll be out fishing today with 2 boxes filled with lures that are not on the picture yet. I will continue this project until the end of this year. F13 BCSD F13 BHO F13 BSM (poor cellphone Photo quality, sorry about that) F13 FMN F13 GALB FLR10 CH FLR10 SB

Very nice fish Kees!! And some nice lures too!! I really like that f-13 Fire Minnow. I have the same subwalk in OGO. Maybe I'll try to add that one to my total, but I haven't had any luck with it before. Good luck and I can't wait to see all the pics!!

I've been spending 6 hours throwing lures last tuesday, nothing happened.. Maybe I want it too badly?

I've been spending 6 hours throwing lures last tuesday, nothing happened.. Maybe I want it too badly? It's a daunting challenge at times, to say the least. Especially when there are too many lures at your disposal...lately I find myself throwing something different instead of 'the usual, old-reliable' lures. I have to say that so far I am liking the challenge....if I ever get time I may end up doing the same thing with my pics too...

Ted, I think it is a learning proces, I have lures in my collection that I never use simply because I am not confident with the colour. This way I am starting to use em because I have to use a different lure then the one I allready caught on (wich are mostly my most relieable lures) Now I am starting to have bites on lures that I normaly never have used. So this is really building my confidence and expanding my view on lures. for a year ago I would never consider buying an original floater and look where it has got me today.
I think a challence like qbert has started is a good way to get all your lures catching and building on your confidence.

Subwalk 9 CLN R.I.P. (due to complications on unhooking the sureset hook from his throat this fish did not make it. I had to cut the lure from the hook going between the gills in order to create more space to unhook the tailhook, unfortunatly the hook was so deep that at the time I managed to get it out the pike has allready passed away)

yes they are good to eat allthough this one was a bit too small.. If they are above the 15 inch I will take em home.
funny enough, moments before this perch took my bait a 3ft pike followed one of my spinnerbaits but unfortunatly did not took it.

Great! I'll be lookin' forward to your topic and offcoarse to the LC! I'll be throwing for pike monday afternoon I am trying to get as much of fishing time I can get this last month before closing time. just to give this project a headstart. I am a bit low on my avarage because of the ice. Last year I have caught about 130 pikes. I don't think I will catch that same amount of pike this year because last year I had more time to spend because of my unemployment back then. Fortunatly I have every wednesday afternoon off so I will go fishing every week.
